NYS Assemblywoman Nikki Lucas of the 60th Assembly District, alongside Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, will present the Annual Back-to-School Bookbag & School Supply Giveaway on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11 AM to 6 PM. The event will take place on Vermont Street between Linden Boulevard and Stanley Avenue, by Linden Park.
Attendees at this family-centered event can enjoy free book bags, supplies, meals, haircuts, and hair braiding (please arrive with clean hair), plus bouncy houses and complimentary health screenings.
A highlight for this year includes the “Summer Sip Down: Sweet Tea vs. Lemonade” contest, offering a refreshing activity as families gear up for the school year.
This giveaway is co-hosted by District Leader Michael Rosendary and Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, together with community partners and sponsors invested in assisting local families.
