New School Coming to Ft Greene at Old Boys & Girls Club Site

Rezoning and Review

The proposed development includes a rezoning process affecting 240 Nassau Street and 46 Navy Street, where P.S. 287 stands. The environmental review phase began on December 22, 2025, and public hearings are planned for early 2026.

About GFB Development

Founded in 2024 by former NBA player Taj Gibson and longtime friends Tameek Floyd and Malik Brown, GFB Development is dedicated to expanding affordable housing and recreational opportunities in neglected neighborhoods.

Floyd and Brown attended P.S. 287 and participated in the Boys & Girls Club Navy Yard Clubhouse, reflecting deep local connections within the development group.
